It was downtown.
The Annex section was awful.

It looked great. Nice, old rustic and quaint. That was the main building, the photos are of this section. They do not show you the Annex. A 70's prefab that hasn't had a remodel since its inception. Bare feet on the carpet was not a good experience. Do not stay in the Annex. ...read more

Safe downtown area, came back around 12 after concert
The single room is only a single bed

Right in the heart of downtown. We went to a Jason Mraz concert at Ironstone is at Murphys only about 30 mins away. There was also another couple there who stayed here also went to the concert, that we saw. The single room is a single size bed. It's clean. The mattress wasn't lumpy. Is a safe place even after 12. ...read more

Central to shopping, bars, daytime shopping and the theater.
Sidewalks rolled up at 9pm in area of hotel. Nobody but bars open after 9 pm.

We were given a room in the older section of the hotel where the floors creaked when you walked, the floor of the hall was leaning and creaked when you walked down the hall. For younger people, this would be no problem, but for older people, the hotel was not very conducive to sleep. The ceiling fan needed lubrication because it squeeked constantly. This was supposed to be a classy hotel but the room was really tiny and noisy. There was only 1/4 to 1/2 inch of toilet tissue on the roll when we checked into our room and no spare roll. The sink was open with only a rubber plug for a stopper. The hotel was supposed to have free wi-fi for the internet but it was not received in the room, only the lobby. ...read more

Inexpensive, fairly close to Yosemite.
Room could have been cleaner.

Okay hotel for low price. The cleanliness of the room was questionable; old coffee grounds left in the maker. Nearly always leave a tip for the cleaning staff, but it was difficult to do so this time. Stayed in the annex behind the main building, which looked nicer than the annex. ...read more

Shower is small and the water head was for people that are short. Room was small for two queens.

Friendly staff & convenient location.
Bathroom was
way too small.

We stayed in the historic building and it was neat to experience the 100 year old hotel with its old-time closet elevator. The staff was very friendly and the free continental breakfast was good if you needed to grab something quick and go. The bathroom, however, was very small with no counter top area for your personal items. ...read more

Friendly, convenient, nice swimming pool.
Room was kind of quirky and small, but clean and comfortable.

Smack in the center of Sonora, California. This is a quaint older building with Gold Country charm. I would definitely return to the Day's Inn.
